The pelican, wood framed tile
6.7x6.7 inches in size
The pelican was believed to pierce its own breast with its beak and feed its young of its blood. It became a symbol of Christ sacrificing himself for man and the atonement He made through His passion and death. Jesus continues to feed us with His body and blood in the holy Eucharist.
Made in our studio in Jerusalem, the ceramic tile is wood framed and has a hanger on the back to hang on the wall
